Keisha L. Morris
My prior experience includes holding the position as the Calhoun County State's Attorney until December 01, 2022. I was appointed by the County Board of Commissioners to the position and was sworn in on January 18, 2022.
Prior to the State’s Attorney’s position, I held the position of Chief Public Defender in Pike County for nearly 13 years. As Chief Public Defender, I handled a variety of cases ranging from simple traffic offenses to Homicide. I earned my Juris Doctorate from Drake Law School in 2005. Additionally, I have held other public positions such as the Village Clerk for the Village of Hamburg and Village Trustee for the Village of Eldred.
I now practice privately in Pike County and Calhoun County, Illinois. My practice areas include real estate, criminal defense, probate and estate planning.
